1 User Research

5 interviews have been conducted in person and via video conference - both with people living in a city and in rural areas. Many important and remarkable information has been collected during the interviews. Clustering these findings in affinity maps showed the first mutual needs & pains. The personas and their journey as a user are built on the insights gained from these results.

2 Interaction Design

In this phase of the project, a sitemap has been constructed based on user flows. The navigation structure is simple and showing the most important functionalities in the top navigation. The first ideas on the most important high-level features were sketched on paper using rapid prototyping. In the next step, a refined & interactive mid-fi prototype has been designed, in order to test the suggested solution with potential users.

3 User Testing

The goal of this study is to observe the interaction of first time users by measuring the learnability & their satisfaction while navigating through given tasks.

4 Visual Design

Building up on these findings above, a design system has been created and the user interface has been visually refined step-by step with colours, grids, contrasts & further polishing on UI elements. The final design has been peer-reviewed, as well.
